Dilworth Plaza
At last Wednesdays meeting of the Philadelphia Art Commission attendees were presented with the latest designs for a substantially reworked Dilworth Plaza from the Center City District. Plans were thankfully approved by the commission allowing this much needed renovation to come closer to completion. project funding will come from a number of sources. $15 million from a Tiger Grant, $15.5 million RACP, $4-5 million SEPTA, $5 million from the City, $9-10 million from 3 foundations, and $20 million from a tax-exempt PNC Loan. Construction is expected to start before the end of the year, given the Planning Commission's approval of all design aspects in a timely manner.
